Next year’s all-female Ghostbusters movie is set to get some help from an unlikely source and we’ve got the full details right here on Clevver Newsfeed. Despite resisting a third Ghostbusters movie for years, Bill Murray is headed back to the world of proton packs and slime. Yes, that’s right, Bill Murray is set to join Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones in next year’s all-female Ghostbusters reboot. According to sources, Murray has snuck onto the Boston set to film a scene for the new film that is set to arrive in theaters on July 22nd, 2016. Of course, don’t expect to see him battling ghosts as “Dr. Peter Venkman” as director Paul Feig previously stated that the new film will not be connected to the original and therefore, if any of the cast ended up making cameos in the film, they would not be playing their original roles. Murray’s addition to the cast follows last month’s confirmation from fellow original cast member Dan Aykroyd, who tweeted that he had shot a scene with Kristen Wiig.
